Rockwell Collins’ military ground radio achieves major milestone with Type-1 NSA certification - September 26, 2018

Rockwell Collins achieved a significant milestone in its ground radio program as the National Security Agency (NSA) has issued the company a Type-1 certification for its AN/PRC-162(V)1 RT-2048(C)U military ground radio. The certification validates that the radio provides protected handling of classified information up to and including Top Secret, as required for successful military operations.

Rockwell Collins’ ADS-B Out Part 23 approved model list supplemental type certificate (AML-STC) has received approval by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This path includes the latest TDR-94/94D Mode S Transponder variant to help aircraft owners meet the rapidly approaching mandate. Rockwell Collins’ ARC-210 RT-2036(C) becomes first airborne radio to pass ‘Do No Harm’ testing for MUOS SATCOM - February 14, 2018

Rockwell Collins has carved another place in military communications history by developing the first airborne V/UHF radio that meets the military security requirements for operation with the Department of Defense’s (DoD) new Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). The testing, known as Do No Harm (DNH), was performed on the ARC-210 RT-2036(C) by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). The sixth generation ARC-210 is the only airborne radio on the market to have completed testing using the most current MUOS waveform.
