Rockwell Collins was recognized recently for making a significant impact in the military training and simulation industries when it was awarded a Blue Ribbon for Innovation and named to Military Training Technology’s (MT2) Top Simulation and Training Companies list.

Presented during I/ITSEC 2014 in Orlando, Florida – the world’s largest modeling, simulation and training conference – the Blue Ribbon for Innovation recognizes our company’s launch of the ProSim™ ultra contrast projector.

Deemed the industry’s most advanced professional simulation projector, ProSim is designed to meet the demands of complex military and commercial aviation training requirements by providing the darkest night and Night Vision System (NVS) capabilities while still delivering full-bright light points. The projector also enhances simulation through an industry-leading native contrast ratio, using patented technology to simultaneously display darker blacks and lighter whites than any other projector on the market.

The 2014 list of top companies recognizes those that have had a positive effect in areas such as simulation, distributed learning, serious gaming, visual systems, embedded training, targets and ranges, database modeling and any other training component.

According to Dave Eccles, principal product manager of Projectors for Simulation and Training Solutions Marketing at Rockwell Collins, being named to this list reinforces our company’s position in the marketplace as an innovator of simulation and training products and solutions.

“The launch of our ProSim projector in the first quarter of FY’14 was such a team effort,” said Eccles. “It took a consolidated team effort from a number of people across our Simulation and Training Solutions organization to conceptualize the requirements, and to build and test it. So, receiving industry recognition is quite a nice honor.”

This year, Military Training Technology received more than 100 applications from simulation and training companies around the world. A total of nine companies – including Elbit Systems Ltd., L-3 Link Simulation and Training, and Lockheed Martin – were awarded Blue Ribbon for Innovation awards.
